The pattern is laid out on A4 paper — 16 pages. Print at 100% scale (“Actual size”) with “Fit to page” turned off, and check the test square or a piece dimension with a ruler before cutting.

This is an advanced pattern with many pieces, lining or hardware and precise assembly. It is best tackled once you have some experience. For a first project, see Easy leather patterns for beginners.

The body is usually cut from 1.4–2 mm (3.5–5 oz) leather, handles and straps from firmer 2.5–3.5 mm (6–9 oz) leather. Makers often give the exact thickness — check the description and notes on the pattern page.
